Alma 39:16 And now, my son, this was the ministry unto which ye were called, to declare these glad tidings unto this people, to prepare their minds; or rather that salvation might come unto them, that they may prepare the minds of their children to hear the word at the time of his coming.
*Thinking as a mother: I am called to prepare the minds of my children, that they might raise their own children in righteousness. Boom. Mind blown.

*We're teaching this to Korbin. Heavenly Father wants to hear about our day, wants to speak with us because He loves us. Pray always, even if you're rambling, He loves it, and YOU. He loves hearing from us, and He will answer our prayers.

I'm writing a paper about my heart future, stirring up lots of emotions. Last night we read other papers. I've rediscovered that EVERYONE is going thru something HUGE. Each of us is shouldering a burden, we can't always see it, but we can strengthen our bros & sis by standing with them. We are not alone in this journey thru the wilderness. He is there, and He gives us strength. He knows our burdens. He knows what we can handle. Stay strong.

*On Paul Cardall's 40 Hymns CD, this song is played. It hits me in the feels. Each of us is His sunbeam. The sun warms us, helps us work, and makes us feel alive, peaceful & happy. We need to be a sunbeam, touch the lives of others and our family.

*Each of us has gained our testimony and faith in our own way, on our own path given us by God. Only He knows each step we've taken. Each has arrived at this moment, as a member, as a Child of God, in our own separate way. Nonetheless, we all stand together and sing His praises.

Alma 34:4 Yea, even that ye would have so much faith as even to plant the word in your hearts, that ye may try the experiment of its goodness.
*Each day we must try the experience of the goodness of our faith and religion. Chin up, each day is new and bright. Count your blessings, name them one by one.

Alma 33:9 Yea, O God, thou hast been merciful unto me, and heard my cries in the midst of thy congregations.
*When I read this, I instantly thought : in the midst of the craziness, the busy days, the chaos that is being a mother, student, wife - in the midst of all of that, He hears your prayers!

Alma 32:40 And thus, if ye will not nourish the word, looking forward with an eye of faith to the fruit thereof, ye can never pluck of the fruit of the tree of life.
*Once the seed of faith is planted, takes root and begins to grow, you must continue to feed your faith. If not fed, it will wither.

Alma 31:38 And the Lord provided for them that they should hunger not, neither should they thirst; yea, and he also gave them strength, that they should suffer no manner of afflictions, save it were swallowed up in the joy of Christ. Now this was according to the prayer of Alma; and this because he prayed in faith.
*Have faith in your prayers, He hears us. He gives us strength thru the Holy Ghost. Find joy in choosing the right.

Alma 30 : Korihor leads away the hearts of the people. Korihor thought he was commanded by an angel to declare the word of God. I think Satan knew how powerful Korihor would have been if he became a believer. He turned Korihor's loyalty and faith against him, and he became an agent of evil. Satan knows our weaknesses. He will find that chink in our armor, and he'll pick at it until it all breaks. He will use our strengths against us. Stand strong.

Alma 29:16 Now, when I think of the success of these my brethren my soul is carried away, even to the separation of it from the body, as it were, so great is my joy.
*I think of my family, and all they have done, how far they have come, how wonderful, strong, amazing, brave they are. YOU are so amazing!
