I've been reading my scriptures and an inspirational book each night and sending out a thought about it to my family and friends. I decided to post them all to a blog so I don't lose them.

From: Me
"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect" Matthew 5:48
This admonition to become perfect is not to discourage us, but actually to give us encouragement. It gives us reason to believe that it is our destiny to be like our Father - a destiny that is not only desirable but possible because of the plan our Father has for us. It is to be accomplished one step at a time, not always according to our own schedule, but "line upon line, precept upon precept; and I will try you and prove you herewith," He tells us (D&C 98:12). It is our opportunity to come to know not only who we are, but WHOSE we are, and to feel glad.
